Facilities and Services – Arena
The Arena is fully accessible including toilets and seating within the Seating Bowl. Should you require any further help whilst at the Arena, don’t hesitate to ask a Hockey Maker or a steward. For more information on accessible transport and blue badge parking please visit the Transport page here.
We have two big screens within the Seating Bowl at the Arena. There are also a number of TV screens in many of the rooms and suites showing the live feed of the matches.
There will be no access to car parking at the venue for Athletes, Officials, Hockey Makers and Media unless by prior arrangement. Accessible parking is available for Blue Badge holders. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
There are no cash machines located at the Arena. There are a number of banks in close proximity at Westfield Stratford shopping mall. All our catering and retail outlets accept cash and contactless card payments.
We will be providing hot drinks and water in the respective rest areas and Lounges.

In the Arena there are two main public catering areas; one to the North and one to the South. Both areas will be supplying identical menus including burgers, wraps, crepes, snacks and bars. Many dietary needs will be catered for including Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free. There will also be hawkers manoeuvring around the stands so people can access drinks and snacks directly to where there are sitting.
Only food and drink purchased or provided by caterers on site will be permitted in the Arena. If an individual has a medical dietary requirement that cannot be catered, please contact email@example.com prior to arrival at the Arena to receive an exemption certificate.
Personnel are permitted to take small amounts of food and drink (not alcohol) into Fan Central for personal consumption.
Hospitality at this event is called Premium Experiences and located in 2 suites. The Gold Lounge is located above the North Stand with views of the Competition Pitch. The Richardson-Walsh Suite is situated on the East Stand with premium seats undercover. There are a number of Premium Experience packages still available; if you have friends or family members that may be interested please go here.
There will be access to dedicated Wi-Fi and LAN cables in the Athlete, Officials, Hockey Maker and Media areas. There will be dedicated Wi-Fi in the Premium Experiences Lounges.
Spectators maybe able to log into the Arena Wi-Fi but capacity will be at its maximum and access cannot be guaranteed. Arrangements have been made with O2 to increase the 4G capabilities in the area throughout the duration of the event.

There are two Medical Units located at the Event – one in South catering, one in North Catering during all gates open hours. If you feel unwell, please visit here in the first instance.
Umpires will have the support of a Physiotherapy daily clinic throughout the event. There is also an Event Doctor on site at all times should there be any urgent requirements.

There’s a great range of event merchandise available including flags, mini sticks, England team shirts and much much more! It’s all on sale at one of the two Event Merchandise units situated in North and South. The England Hockey Store is located in the Retail Zone in Fan Central.
For all accredited personnel, there is a multi-faith prayer room situated in the client zone. For Spectators, the Timber Lodge Café, situated 100m South of the main Spectator Entrance has a multi -aith prayer room for use during your time at the event.
There will be access to one or more printers in the Athlete, Officials and Media Centre areas.
The following items are prohibited in the Area;
- Glass bottles
- Food and drink purchased outside the Arena
- Whistles or air horns (except Umpires)
- Aerosol or gas canisters
- Fireworks, flares, explosives or incendiary devices
- Any article likely to cause injury (including knives & weapons)
- Any article prohibited under law
- Laser pointers
- Hazardous substances
- Pets or animals, other than guide/service dogs
- Large flags/banners
- Objects, clothing or signage for the purposes of unauthorised promotional marketing
- Hard case containers, bags, backpacks or suitcases in excess of 40cmx30cmx30cm – spectators
All Athletes, Officials, Media and Hockey Makers will receive one event Programme as part of your Welcome Pack on arrival with all the team news, features and other event information. The Programme will also be on sale at the Arena for £8 throughout the event if you want to take some more souvenirs home!
Adidas are on board as an FIH Official Supplier and will have a store at Fan Central to trial sticks and pick up official event merchandise. There will be a number of other retail outlets in Fan Central selling merchandise and hockey equipment, including the England Hockey Store selling England branded clothing and merchandise.
There will be 10,400 seats for the event on all four sides of the Competition Pitch. The temporary additional seating to West Stand (5,422) is the largest of its kind to be built for a sporting event in the UK since the Olympic Games in 2012.
Accredited seating for Athletes is located in North Block 26.
Accredited seating for Officials is located in East Block 3 row J.
Accredited seating and Press Tribunes for Media is located in East Block 6.

All personnel entering the Arena at the two pedestrian entrances will be subject to a security bag search and wanding upon arrival, including all accredited personnel.
If you have medical condition that maybe effected by the use of the Scanner then please make this known to a Steward BEFORE you enter the Security.
Please do not to leave bags unattended at any time, including in corridors or other public places during the event.
There are two Smoking Areas at the Arena – one for Spectators near South Catering and one in the Welfare Area (behind the Broadcast Compound) for accredited personnel. There is also one to the west in Fan Central. There is NO SMOKING anywhere else in the Arena. This included Vapes and E-cigarettes.
Our aim is to provide Athletes, Officials, Hockey Makers and members of the Media with a great event experience. We’d like your help to further develop and enhance the experiences we offer in the future. We’ll be conducting some short interview surveys during the event and would really appreciate a little of your time to complete this.
There will be plenty of toilet blocks, including accessible toilets, at the Arena. The toilets designated for use by accredited personnel will be identified on your initial venue tour / orientation. There are also toilets in every changing room and in the tunnel area.
Bottled water and drinking fountains will be provided. However please note that the tap water at the Arena is also safe to drink.
